Prepare the vehicle-parts statement for a kit-built, reconstructed or converted vehicle, or a like-for-like replacement chassis, bodyshell or frame.

You will normally send this with a completed V55/5 or V55/4.

Use traceable numbers from the component and its receipt. “Origin” means the donor registration number, or NEW for a new component. Mark a genuinely irrelevant row as not applicable.

Suspension (front and back)

After downloading

  • Print all three pages.
  • The applicant must sign the declaration by hand on page 3.
  • Check every answer against the receipts, registration documents and other evidence before posting.

DVLA uses the vehicle parts statement for reconstructed classics, kit conversions, kit-built vehicles and like-for-like replacement chassis, monocoque bodyshells or motorcycle frames. It records where the major components came from and which supporting evidence is included.
