Please read these terms of service ("Terms") carefully before using the v55-5.com website (the "Service") operated by v55-5 ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Service Description
V55/5 provides an online tool that assists you in completing the DVLA V55/5 form (Application for a First Vehicle Tax and Registration of a Vehicle). Our Service collects the information you provide, validates it, and generates a professionally formatted PDF that you can print and submit to the DVLA.
Important: We are not an agent, representative, or affiliate of the DVLA. We are an independent service that helps you prepare your V55/5 form. We do not submit forms on your behalf, and we have no influence over DVLA decisions regarding your application.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must be using the Service for legitimate UK vehicle registration purposes.
- By using the Service, you confirm that you have the legal authority to provide the information entered into the form.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information you enter into the form.
- You must ensure that the data you provide is truthful and that you are entitled to register the vehicle in question.
- You are responsible for reviewing the generated PDF for accuracy before printing and submitting it to the DVLA.
- You must comply with all applicable UK laws and DVLA regulations when using the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your access link secure and not sharing it with unauthorised third parties.
4. Our Responsibilities
- We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the Service.
- We will generate your V55/5 PDF accurately based on the information you provide.
- We will ensure the PDF format conforms to the DVLA's requirements to the best of our knowledge.
- We will keep your data secure in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any decisions made by the DVLA regarding your vehicle registration application.
- We are not liable for errors in the generated PDF that result from incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided by you.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
6. Intellectual Property
- The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by V55/5 and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- You retain ownership of the personal data and information you provide through the form.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Payment Terms
- The Service requires a one-time payment to generate and access your completed V55/5 PDF.
- All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- The price displayed at the time of checkout is the price you will be charged. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect transactions already completed.
8. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. If the DVLA rejects an application prepared with our Service, we issue a full refund on receipt of evidence of the rejection. Please review the full refund policy for details of other circumstances in which refunds are granted.
9. Account and Access
- After payment, you will receive an access link to download your completed V55/5 PDF.
- Your access link is valid for 30 days from the time of purchase.
- You are responsible for downloading your PDF within the access period. We are not obligated to provide additional access after the 30-day window has expired.
- You should not share your access link with others, as it provides access to your personal data.
10. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Service for:
- Any fraudulent, unlawful, or deceptive purpose, including providing false information on the V55/5 form.
- Registering a vehicle that you do not have the legal right to register.
- Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction from the Service.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers, or databases.
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Using the Service to transmit any malware, viruses, or harmful code.
11. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We do not provide legal, financial, or tax advice. You should seek independent professional advice if you are unsure about any aspect of vehicle registration.
- We are independent from the DVLA and make no representations about the outcome of any application submitted using forms generated by our Service.
- While we strive to keep the Service available at all times, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service for any prohibited purpose. In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund. We may also discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any matters not covered by these Terms shall be determined in accordance with English law.
14. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to contact us first at help.v55.5@gmail.com so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and V55/5 regarding your use of the Service.
